On April 3rd, the concrete pouring for the bridge deck of the main bridge of the Pingliu Canal Jiuzhou Super Large Bridge on the Nanzheng Expressway was completed.
The bridge deck beams are designed as steel grid beams with steel-concrete composite bridge decks, consisting of three parts: reinforced concrete deck slab, shear connectors, and steel beams. The standard total thickness of the steel-concrete composite bridge deck is 15cm (25cm at the supported sections). It was cast in one piece from the midspan towards both banks, with 1182 cubic meters of C50 steel fiber reinforced concrete poured.
The Pingliu Canal Jiuzhou Super Large Bridge is a key control project of the Nanzheng Expressway. As of now, the deck paving of the approach bridge on the Zhanjiang side has been completed. The foundation pile construction for the section involving railways on the approach bridge of the Nanning side is being carried out in an orderly manner. The next step for the main bridge will be the construction of guardrails, expansion joints, and other bridge deck systems.
