As of now, 66 out of 73 steel truss girder segments of the bridge have been hoisted and installed, with the overall construction progress reaching 97.5%. It is expected that the bridge closure can be achieved by the end of April. At the same time, the installation of the main bridge deck panels, the wet joint welding of the approach bridges, and the construction of the bridge’s ancillary works are also being accelerated simultaneously, marking the final sprint stage of the bridge construction.

The Zangkexiang Bridge has a total length of 1,849 meters, a main span of 1,080 meters, and a maximum height of 380 meters above the river surface, ranking 12th among the world’s 100 tallest bridges. Upon completion, the travel time between Qinglong Bank and Nayong Bank will be shortened from the current 1 hour to just 1 minute, truly turning the previously impassable valley into a thoroughfare.
