Recently, the Xinanjing Super Bridge, a critical control project for the Jinhua-Hangzhou Jiande Railway, has transitioned into the over-water construction phase and is expected to achieve closure by May of next year.

As one of the projects in the National Medium and Long-Term Railway Network Plan and Zhejiang Province’s “Eight Vertical and Eight Horizontal” Railway Construction Plan, the Jinhua-Jiande Railway is part of the Huangshan-Jinhua Railway Corridor in the national high-speed railway network. With a total length of 64.5 kilometers, it departs from the existing Jinhua Station, heads north through Lanxi and Jiande, and connects to the Hangzhou-Huangshan High-Speed Railway at Jiande Station, designed for a speed of 250 kilometers per hour. The 885-meter-long Xinanjing Super Bridge spans a 520-meter-wide river with scenic views along the route. According to the introduction, in order to avoid damaging the green mountains and waters, the project team has repeatedly demonstrated key construction technologies and coordinated construction organization and resource allocation.

Upon completion, the Jinhua-Jiande Railway will connect the Hangzhou-Huangshan High-Speed Railway, the Hefei-Fuzhou High-Speed Railway, the Shanghai-Kunming High-Speed Railway, and the Jinhua-Wenzhou Railway, linking the Wannan Metropolitan Area, the Huangshan Tourism Economic Circle, the Central Zhejiang City Cluster, and the Wenzhou Economic Circle in the Yangtze River Delta region. It will also serve as a golden tourism route featuring famous mountains, rivers, and scenic spots. Lanxi, located in central Zhejiang, will no longer be excluded from high-speed rail service.
