On March 16th, the first pile foundation of the Fusimen Road-Rail Bridge for the Yongzhou project was completed with concrete pouring, marking the bridge construction entering a new phase.
The main bridge of the Yongzhou Railway Fusimen Road-Rail Bridge has a total length of 1725.85 meters with a main span of 388 meters. It adopts a flat road-rail arrangement, with the railway in the center of the bridge deck and the roads on both sides. The approach bridges for road and rail are constructed separately. The Yongzhou Railway starts from Ningbo East Station and ends at Zhoushan Island, with a total of three cross-sea bridges. The Fusimen Road-Rail Bridge connects Fusimen Island and Zhoushan Island, and is the cross-sea bridge closest to Zhoushan Island on the whole line. This concrete pouring was for pile No. 8 of auxiliary pier No. 22, with a pile length of 10 meters and a diameter of 2 meters. It is located near the Zhengci Village seawall in Cenggang Subdistrict, Zhoushan City. The pile has only 1.6 meters of soil cover, with the pile tip embedded in weakly weathered welded tuff of high strength up to 70 MPa. The shallow overburden and hard rock strength posed great drilling difficulties.

To ensure the smooth completion of the concrete pouring task, the project department adhered to a highly responsible attitude in the preparatory stage, emphasizing scientific planning and carefully formulating a comprehensive and detailed construction plan. To guarantee construction quality, the management personnel conducted thorough preparatory work. During construction, all processes strictly followed construction specifications and operating procedures to ensure that the construction quality met design requirements. This provided reliable technical parameters for subsequent construction and accumulated experience.
The Yongzhou Railway is a transport railway from Ningbo East Station to Zhoushan Station. Upon completion, the project will fill the last gap in Zhejiang Province’s strategy of “intercity high-speed rail connectivity”, and is of great strategic significance for promoting the in-depth integration and coordinated development of Ningbo and Zhoushan, as well as accelerating the integration of the two cities into the Yangtze River Economic Belt.
