China’s intelligent and industrialized construction technologies for long-span composite bridges have transitioned from a stage of rapid development to a phase of high-quality development. Numerous new technologies and processes have been applied in engineering construction, not only promoting the advancement of bridge construction standards but also providing strong support for the comprehensive improvement of project quality.

Anlu Yellow River Bridge

The Yuanyang to Zhengzhou section of the Anlu Expressway project has a total length of 21.655 kilometers, with the key control project, the Yellow River Extra-Large Bridge, spanning 15.223 kilometers. It is the longest bridge across the Yellow River and features the largest steel structure usage in inland areas. It is also the road bridge across the Yellow River with the largest main span, tallest towers, widest deck width, and most complex technical challenges in Henan Province.

To showcase China’s achievements in the construction of long-span composite bridges, share project construction results and experiences, improve the quality and efficiency of bridge engineering construction, promote technical innovation and exchange in bridge engineering, and drive high-quality development of bridge construction projects, the China Highway and Transportation Society Bridge and Structural Engineering Branch, in cooperation with the Henan Transportation Investment Group Co., Ltd. and the Henan Highway Society, and organized by Bridge Magazine, will jointly host the Forum on Intelligent and Industrialized Construction Technologies for Long-Span Composite Bridges and Site Visit to the Anlu Yellow River Bridge in Zhengzhou City from April 26 to 28, 2024.
