On March 11th, at the construction site of the Beijing-Lan’zhou Expressway (G104) Jinan Yellow River Highway Bridge, the pouring of concrete has begun for the first ramp bridge on the southern approach of the main bridge span, with parts of the bridge deck taking shape.

It is understood that the expansion project of the G104 Beijing-Lan’zhou Expressway Jinan Yellow River Highway Bridge is a major north-south trunk road connecting Jinan’s new and old growth driver transformation zones with the old city area, spanning a total length of 7.748 kilometers. The construction of this project will effectively improve traffic conditions between downtown Jinan and the areas north of the Yellow River, as well as optimize the layout of bridges and tunnels across the Yellow River. The bridge has also reserved a passage for Jinan Rail Transit Line 7, which will be Shandong’s first rail line crossing the Yellow River. This synchronizes the upgrade from the old bridge’s single transportation mode to a dual capability for both highway and rail traffic, meeting the interchange needs among expressways, urban expressways, and urban trunk roads.
